olli and lime and kaedence

As promised, another Logan nursery, courtesy of Kaleigh and Chris, who live in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Kaleigh told me her husband “gets all the credit for the nursery”, designed for the couple’s daughter, Kaedence, born back in October.

“Chris stayed up one night until 4 am, looking for the perfect bedding set. He said from the start how he wanted something different and modern. Your bedding was his inspiration, and the first thing we bought for her nursery, other than the paint.”

“We both fell in love with it, even more so once we got to see it in person!” The paint is Benjamin Moore 2082-60 (Pink Innocence) and 2083-50 (Pink Pansy). The mobile is from HingMade, dragonflies from Umbra, glider from Target, and crib/changing table from Babyletto.

“Chris had the “you are my sunshine” sign [Etsy] specially made for me, to match her room. I would sing that to her while I was pregnant all the time. I didn’t realize he’d heard me. I cried the day it came in the mail. He put so much thought, effort and time into her room and it definitely shows!”

“I’ve had the name [Kaedence] picked out since I was a little girl. I couldn’t have been happier when Chris said he loved it too! Kaedence is the Celtic way of spelling Cadence, which means rhythm or to march. Lynn, her middle name, is his mother’s first name.”

“Chris went online to find Celtic letters and the only ones he could find was from a company called “Signs and Numbers” in the UK. He then emailed them to see if they would ship to the US and if they would also paint the letters white.”

“My husband did an amazing job on her nursery. To this day I can’t help but smile when I’m in there. It’s our favorite room of the house. I love to just hold and rock her to sleep. Not only does it soothe her, but me as well.” Thanks so much, Kaleigh and Chris, for sharing your wonderful nursery!
