Tuesday was Karen’s birthday. Rather than take a picture of her (numerous) presents – like last time – I’ll focus on just one, at the risk of offending all other gift-givers.
Anyhow, Karen has a healthy (and growing) obsession with mid-century modern design, interiors and homes. So when this gift idea was offered, my mother obliged…
Mid-Century Modern: Interiors, Furniture, Design is the perfect coffee-table book, as this shot demonstrates…albeit in a very contrived fashion. The book’s great though.
Karen and I have also taken to frequenting lots of related websites. This got me to thinking, why not share some of our design interests with you guys? Hence the new header.
Ah, one day maybe we’ll own a place like this. Or live with a view like this. Phew…
So expect a smattering of design-related posts in the future, giving you an insight into our influences, loves, likes, wants and latest obsessions. Including stuff like above.
