Sorry for the brief interlude. We’ve got masses going on and are inches away from everything clicking into place. Until it does though, posting is likely to be rather erratic.
Just quickly, I wanted to share this rare (for us) culinary insight. Karen’s been threatening to make chocolate tiffin for ages…and this weekend made three batches!
Why three? Well, the first two weren’t up to scratch…apparently. In all honesty (in my capacity as chief taste-tester) I couldn’t really tell much difference between them!

Actually, batch one was more akin to concrete tiffin, thanks to a tablespoon/dessert spoon mix-up…resulting in a doubling of key ingredients and a snapped spatula!
Batch two was an improvement. She could have stopped there. I’m not even sure why batch three was produced. You’ve got to admire the quest for perfection I guess.

The outcome is masses of chocolate tiffin. I’m doing my best to wade through it (I’m not sensing any pity) somewhat scuppering my ‘new year chocolate-reduction plan’.
Karen’s still not happy with the results but has thrown in the spatula, so to speak. If anyone does have a tried-and-tested chocolate tiffin recipe, do feel free to share

I’m not actually sure what tiffin is but it looks delicious so that’s good!
It is indeed delicious! I’d save you a bit but a) you’re rather far away and b) it’s almost gone!
