Recently I mentioned a few blogs who kindly posted about our sale. Since then, we’ve appeared in a few more places so I thought I’d do a quick round-up…
Upscale baby posted about our sleepsacks the other day on their fab review blog. Follow @upscalebaby. Mini Gaga went gaga (their words not ours!) about our about our new hooded towels. Follow @mini_gaga
The Green Familia gave their top picks from our summer sale (ending today!). Follow @thegreenfamilia. Sprout photography posted about son Milo’s (unforgettable) blog appearance. Follow @alanbremner.
And last but not least, Babble praised our wall art on their great blog Droolicious. I’ve done this in a huge rush, so apologies to anyone I’ve missed.
At the risk of repeating myself, here’s another beautiful (Olli & Lime-clad) baby boy! As the heading suggests, this cheeky little chap is Hayden…
Hayden is the second son of Karen’s cousin Darren and his partner Sophie. Here, he’s fully immersed in an Egg teal sleepsack, with a matching quilt in the background.
Elder brother Jack couldn’t resist getting in on the action at the ‘photo shoot’…
I promise we’ll be featuring a girl at some point but for now it certainly makes a change to be working in a male-dominated environment!
If you’d like to make your little one part of this series, please email me. Both male and female models welcome!
As if by magic, fabric has ‘appeared’ in the Olli & Lime warehouse. This fabric will soon be available by the metre/yard from our website…
From August you can buy our George (above) and Billie (below) fabric designs, with Egg following close behind.
The fabric is perfect for making curtains and blinds (or whatever) to match the rest of the Olli & Lime collection.
Just thought I’d mention, we’re appearing at Kids Instyle, a big trade show which kicks-off in Melbourne later this week…
Organisers Life Instyle call it “the premier trade event for retailers searching for unique, high-end and boutique kids & babies fashion & designer accessories”.
Unfortunately though, we won’t be going! Instead, our products will be shown by Danish By Design, our Australian partners and distributors of the Leander bed, as featured in one of our product shots below…
Kids Instyle runs from 30 July-3 August. We’ll let you know how it goes.
Our summer sale is due to end tomorrow and in all likelihood we won’t be having another one until there’s snow on the ground…in some parts anyway.
Get up to 50% off bedding and accessories across our George, Billie and Egg ranges! Plus, for this week only, we’ve added some Egg ‘teal’ products.
So, we’ve decided to extend the sale by another week…giving seven further days of bargain grabbing. Click to jump straight to our sale page.
These snuggly hooded towels are a new addition, available in our George, Billie and Egg designs…
Made of soft 100% cotton towelling, with a hood to match each range, they’re perfect for keeping baby wrapped and warm after bath time.
We’ve received some great feedback since last week’s post featuring Milo. Also, father (and photographer) Alan has continued to spread the word with a follow-up post on his blog. Thanks Alan!
Even better news, sooner than expected we’ve had a second submission. This one from another very loyal and long-term customer, Emily Quinton, also a professional photographer – check out her wonderful site here.
And here’s Emily’s submission, featuring her gorgeous baby boy Oren, wearing an Egg design bib in pear…
Oren has managed to perfectly demonstrate the importance of wearing a bib…and looks extremely proud of himself!
Incidentally, Emily and I have been twitter friends for a while now. She’s always quick to offer feedback and even quicker to snap-up an Olli & Lime bargain; recently buying a limited edition bumper within hours of it appearing on our site!
Anyone wishing to send us an Olli & Lime-themed photo is very welcome! Please email me direct with any images.
Lots going on at the moment. New products on the way, exciting partnerships in the offing and a refreshed website. Amid the chaos, we keep adding to our list of stockists…yet forgetting to tell anyone about it.
So (a little belatedly) we’d like to introduce Liapela. Founder Alejandra Salazar’s vision is to “bridge the gap between innovative designers from around the world and contemporary urban families”.
This Miami store is based in the Village of Merrick Park (VMP). If you live nearby, go check it out.
We’re just about to introduce new products for fall/winter 09, including bumpers for our George, Billie and Egg collections. As usual, we had samples made before full production.
Stick with me, ’cause here’s where it gets (kind of) interesting. Instead of using our standard George fabric, our suppliers used the ‘white on lime’ fabric, pictured below…
Though not to plan, it allowed us to test the quality – which is superb – and get a feel for the finished bumpers. So, this is a complete one-off…for now at least.
And this design original is available from our shop for just £35/$58. Edit: since posting, this has been sold…but there are plenty of other designs to choose from.
All of a sudden, the majority of new orders are for our Billie range. This after a George-filled spring, with Egg sales remaining pretty constant throughout.
The Billie design does have an autumnal quality, whereas George has a spring/summer feel. I guess people are getting equipped for the season ahead.
In truth, we’re thrilled and thankful that people are continuing to discover us and make Olli & Lime part of their home, no matter which design they choose.
By the way, there are still some Billie toddler sets, blankets and quilts available at up to 60% off in our sale, which has less than 10 days to run.
